The Euro is here! Update your company's registered capital!

Following the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria on January 1, 2026, the Registry Agency will automatically revalue the amount of the registered capital of all commercial companies (EOOD, OOD, AD) in January 2026. The revaluation is carried out automatically at the fixed rate of 1 EUR = 1.95583 BGN using the rounding rules under the Law on the Introduction of the Euro (ZVERB).​

It is now mandatory to update the acts of incorporation, articles of association, and statutes to reflect the values in euro at the fixed exchange rate.

Mandatory actions

- By December 31, 2026, the supreme bodies (ECC, General Assembly, General Meeting of Shareholders) adopt amendments to the documents with converted capital, shares and shares.

- Capital requirements: 1 euro for OOD/EOOD, 0.01 euro per share/share; for AD – 25,000 euros.
