The team of Legex Consulting Ltd., Bulgaria took part in the event "China (Sichuan) - Bulgaria: Economic and Cultural Cooperation Meeting".
The event aims to deepen cooperation and exchange between Sichuan Province and the Republic of Bulgaria in the fields of trade, culture, investment, etc.
The Economic and Cultural Cooperation Meeting was held on November 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the China Cultural Center in Sofia.
Within the framework of the event, Bulgarian and Chinese companies had new opportunities to create partnerships and bilateral cooperation in key sectors, such as agriculture, food industry, technology and innovation, as well as to stimulate academic and research exchanges, develop start-ups and create new business relationships.
The Limited Liability Company (LLC) is the most common and well-known form of company in Bulgaria. LLC is a stable structure, has clearly regulated relations between partners and high trust from banks and partners. The main disadvantage of LLC is that the procedure for opening a savings account is often slow and complicated - especially for foreign entrepreneurs, as banks require a number of documents and carry out detailed checks. Any change in the capital or partners requires notarization and entry in the Commercial Register, which leads to additional costs and time.
A Variable Capital Company (VCC) is the new option for modern and dynamic businesses. With a VCC, there is no need to open a savings account, and the capital can be increased or decreased freely. New partners can join, and old ones can leave without notarial procedures and complicated formalities. This legal organizational form is still new and its practical application is still developing - including when working with banks and institutions.
After the amendments to the Law on Foreigners in Bulgaria adopted by the parliament come into force, a residence permit for a period of up to one year, with the possibility of extension for another year, can be obtained by a digital nomad who:
- Can confirm personal average gross annual income equal to 50 minimum salaries in Bulgaria (now it is 53,850 leva);
- Has funds in the account in the amount of at least 12 minimum salaries in Bulgaria;
- Has own or rented housing in Bulgaria;
- Has a mandatory insurance policy (https://legex.bg/insurance) for the insurance of foreigners;
